The shared visual identity for all three apps — 14 semantic color roles, monospaced typography scale, and two shape modes (rounded, tactical). Command Post is the reference palette; every shipped theme satisfies the same contract.
Turn-based tactical strategy on real-world terrain
Command your forces across battlefields generated from real-world map data. Every street, building, and treeline is a tactical decision. Outmaneuver AI commanders, exploit terrain, and fight for control of objectives in a simulator where the map is never the same twice.
Every mechanic serves the mission. Every decision matters.
Battlefields are generated from OpenStreetMap data. Real buildings, roads, waterways, and elevation. Drop a pin anywhere on Earth and fight on the terrain that exists there.
Face 10 AI commanders, each with a distinct command style. Fortress digs in and holds the line. Specter flanks from the shadows. Anvil hammers you with artillery. Learn their doctrine or lose.
You only see what your units can see. Buildings block line of sight. Elevation grants advantage. Deploy recon to scout ahead or risk walking into an ambush.
Buildings provide cover. Elevation gives attack bonuses. Roads speed movement. Forests conceal. Smoke blocks sight lines. Entrenchment rewards patience. The terrain fights with you or against you.
The GRIDWATCH universe spans three apps, each built for its platform. Turn-based strategy on iPad, real-time air defense on iPad, and rapid tactical decisions on iPhone. Different gameplay, shared commanders, shared universe.
Real-time tactical air defense on iPad
Airborne threats inbound. Classify contacts on radar, deploy countermeasures, and defend the perimeter before they reach you.
GHOST GRID puts you in the tactical operations center. Contacts appear as blips with unknown classification. Build confidence through sensors, assign threat types, and engage with jammers, interceptors, point defense, or special forces teams. Misclassify a drone swarm and waste your limited ammo. Miss a loitering munition and lose the compound.
OODA loop command game for iPhone
You are the commander. Swipe to decide. Every choice shifts the balance.
QRF distills command into rapid-fire binary decisions. Observe the situation, orient on your sector map, decide left or right, and watch the outcome ripple through intel, morale, logistics, and escalation. Real-world scenarios from Mogadishu to the Taiwan Strait. Consequence chains mean early calls shape the entire mission.
GRIDWATCH is designed to be legible to the AI coding agents that help build it. The visual system is documented as a machine-readable contract.

Each client inherits the root system and documents only its differences — default theme, default shape mode, layout target, and the components unique to that app.
Format inspired by google-labs-code/design.md — YAML front matter for tokens, markdown prose for rationale.
The GRIDWATCH universe is a suite of tactical simulators built with commonly used symbology, real-world terrain data, and mechanics that reward thinking over grinding. Fog of war, line of sight, overwatch, suppression, flanking, combined arms. No loot boxes. No timers. Just tactics.
GRIDWATCH on iPad for turn-based strategy. GHOST GRID on iPad for real-time air defense. Quick Reaction Force on iPhone for rapid command decisions. Three games, one shared universe of commanders, units, and doctrine.
